Update: Apparently what we did to fix the comments problem didn't really fix it. I believe I found the problem this time and it should be working now.

MUUUUUUUUUCH Better....

That earlier stamp design was killing me softly. Here is what I came up with. I love yellow, black and white. Gonna try to avoid any and all traffic jams for the next few days.... (yeah, sure). This is China Glaze's Happy Go Lucky, White on White and Konad's Black.

Blue Marble

So I am super excited about this look we did on my nails yesterday. We saw this done online and were curious to try it out. I decided to use blue colors since its my favorite and I had plenty of blue polishes I hadn't used yet. At first I was afraid that it would be too much on all 10 nails. However, as soon as we did the marble effect on a nail on each hand... HOOKED!

I'm not even brave enough to attempt to create a tutorial for this. Instead, My Simple Little Pleasures has an amazing tutorial.

For this look, we put 2 coats of Sally Hansen "Blue Me Away" as the base because we were afraid the marble colors might be see-through. Then we used Sally Hansen "Ocean View", Sally Hansen "Blue Me Away," and Essie's "Sag Harbor" to create the marble effect. (Sally Hansen's "Ocean View" and "Blue Me Away" are swatched here.)

Hopefully I'll remember to take a picture of this in the sunlight tomorrow. "Ocean View" has some shimmer to it and it's beautiful in the sun!

Sitting in my car....

I'm actually practically parked. Crazy what Miami traffic will do to you while you wait for the snails pace to quicken....it'll make you reconsider your 18-hour old polish job. Gonna change this look later cuz I'm sure hating it now. Blegh.

(Not a bad quality pic though, right? Way to go Blackberry!)

Swatches (Sally Hansen, China Glaze & OPI)

So here are some swatches we were able to do this weekend. Slowly but surely we will be able to get our entire collection done. Warning: Please forgive my horrible hands. These swatches were pre-manicure.

Sally Hansen - Ocean View

Took 3 coats to get it like this.

Sally Hansen - Blue Me Away

2 coats.

Could have been done in 1 coat but I had a few bald spots left from the first application.

OPI - Gargantuan Green Grape

3 coats.

China Glaze - OMG

2 coats.

Amazing! I could spend hours looking at this color...

This is like self-inflicted pain. I give them the polish so they can be quiet about it, then I end up having to clean 3/4 of their fingers from all the coats they put on (I know there's a learning curve). Aren't my girls cute though?
