Sometimes I get creatively challenged and cant even pick a color I want for my nails.... so I ask the boyfriend and he'll shout out "red", or... "peach with white tips"... and this week he chose BLUE. Not a bad choice. Not very Fall-ish, but still pretty cute. Here are the results.
I did a couple coats of Breezi, topped the middle finger with a coat of China Glaze Fairy Dust, and used Ibiza, Dream and Blu to make some stripes on the accent nail. What do you think? Striping tape is a wonder.
Next week, you'll get a turkey.... promise.

Plaid hearts....
This is my poor attempt at a mani I saw last weekend by the lovely and talented Quiche Girl. You can see her amazingness here. Seriously? How gorgeous are those nails? Now. In my defense... I WAS running around with my children and kinda in a hurry to leave the house and head north to the boyfriend's.... and I will also say I WILL be attempting this manicure again. Soon. So we'll see. Maybe if my tips were more rounded? But I just cant bring myself to round them off.... I'm such a squoval lover. :/
I hope you guys enjoy it either way.
I used Mason by Zoya, Spontaneous and Millennium by China Glaze, and Liquid Leather by Orly. How bad does it look?

Quirky Smile (revisited)
I felt like teal... and I know, it's not very "Fallish"... but still. I'm in Miami, Florida... it's 82 degrees here. What Fall? LOL
So this is two coats of Quirky Smile by one of my favorite polish makers.... MISA! Its a lovely jelly-ish teal with tons of green microshimmer. At least, that's how I see it. I placed two coats of Zoya's Charla on my ring finger and placed a super subtle stamp (more like a stamping fail) on my middle finger... you can barely see it so really... don't bother looking.
You can kinda sorta see the stamp at this angle... but not really.
And here is a picture in the daylight. Try as I may, this shade of teal is so hard to capture. Most of my pictures ended up looking blue.
I promise something more Fall-ish and/or Turkey-related soon. :)

Sew Psyched....
This is totally not the first time I swatch this shade.... but to me, it's a great Fall color and it's one of the few greens that doesn't give me lobster hands. This is two coats of Essie's Sew Psyched and I used Millennium by China Glaze and stamped on the paisley design from Bundle Monster plate 315. Cute, no? Then I added a little rhinestone from one of my wheels from Born Pretty Store. Nothing fancy.
To be honest, I was having a little creative block. Two failed attempts at plaid will do that to you. LOL

Fall Mani No. 1: A little Pepper
This is the super smooth, practically a one coater, Pepper by Zoya. My boyfriend suggested a penny shade... but shimmery, frosty copper tones on my skin look horrid... so I chose this one instead. Kinda like an old penny. Isn't it pretty?
I used Jacqueline by Zoya on the accent nail and then painted on a little tree using acrylic paint in Fall shades...used my dotting tool to add leaves.

Halloween Mani No. 5: Skittles
Gosh, I love this mani. It's just so cute. It's a combination of images picked out by the BF and this is how they turned out. Using acrylic paints, of course, making a mess all over the kitchen counter, of course... but in the end, pretty cute, no?
I also used some of the Incoco appliques in Spooktacular and let me tell you... at 4 a.m. I got up to potty and the glow was still going strong. Love it!

Halloween Mani No. 4: Jack Skellington... my version.
This is MY version of The Nightmare Before Christmas nails.... I just had to recreate it. There are so many nail artists out there with gorgeous work that you can use for inspiration. This is a movie I can watch over and over again.
I created the look using Orly Liquid Vinyl as the base and the rest is done with small to tiny brushes (from the Michaels artist paint brush section) and acrylic paints. I buy the Americana multi colored set. The one with like ten little pots connected with a plastic strip. That way, you get an assortment of colors and then if you need something specific, make your own shade. It's super economical that way too.
Hope you guys enjoy it.

Guest Nails: Pink Leopard
These nails belong to my friend, Jenn. I got her hooked on nail care and her nails are now super strong and healthy. She's also been delving into nail art on occasion (or convincing me to give her a manicure when we're together). LOL
This is China Glaze's Hang Ten Toes with free-hand leopard spots running down the side using Konad Black. All topped with Seche. I know it's not very Fall-festive but it was done a few months ago. Consider it a #latepost.
Happy Polishing!
