Hey! I hope you've all had a Happy New Year! My vacation has been great. Unfortunately it's time to get back into the usual routine of things (boyfriend went back home, school starts next week, need to do homework, etc). Vacations are never as long as they need to be! Speaking of vacations... Random story time! I went skiing in Colorado (Super fun!) after my final exams with my boyfriend during December. So I painted my nails for the occasion. I used China Glaze's "Little Drummer Boy" and stamped snowflakes using China Glaze's "OMG" and Konad Special Polish in White. It was kind of like the mani Maria posted a few days ago (but mine wasn't as cute). My intention was to take pictures of my nails while in Colorado so it would be with the snow... Yeah, that didn't happen. Taking those ski gloves off and putting them on constantly made my nails chip really fast. I never got a chance to take the picture. And I wasn't going to post them looking like that. At one point I was at a little general store and the cashier (a young girl with chipped black nail polish) notice my nails and started asking me about it. She was shocked when I told her I did them myself. Am I the only one that enjoys that reaction from people?
Anyways, moving on. This is a mani I did a while back and just never got around to posting the picture. This is Zoya's "Tallulah" from their Summer 2009 Ohh-La-La collection. I remember that the weather wasn't very cooperative back then so the pictures below are in crappy sunlight/shade. My pictures don't show off this colors awesomeness! Yes... I said "awesomeness!" It's a vibrant cool electric blue with shimmer and a metallic type finish. It applied like a dream (as does every Zoya I have owned). I believe this was just 2 coats. The picture on the top right is the one that truly captures this color the best.
I'm sure most of you out there know about the Zoya Facebook promotion that has been going on. I'm curious to know which colors you ladies all got! So please do share! I got Crystal, Kelly, and Mikka. I can't wait for my order to get here!
