I've got a review for you today! Mari and I were soooooo excited when we found out we would be receiving these polishes to review. We were at work when the package arrived so I had my mother open it and tell us what was inside. Her reaction was hilarious: "There is a dark polish in here... A light green.... OMG This is a loud pink!" LOL!
I present to you a few colors from Orly's Precious Collection for Spring 2011.
Ancient Jade - This is like a minty jade creme. So yummy! It took 2 coats for full coverage. Some other bloggers have complained that the formula was a little thick but I didn't experience that at all. This swatch is without base coat and without topcoat.
Royal Velvet - This is a really dark purple with blue flash. As always, blue flash makes this polish difficult to photograph. The blue flash is so vibrant. It's hard to see the purple base. But trust me... It's there! Application was a little tricky for this one. The formula was a little thinner so it took 3 coats to get full coverage. Fortunately, the formula was easy to work with.
Fancy Fuchsia - This is a "holy moly" super bright fuchsia pink creme. Reminds me of a neon (has that vibrant color without the matte type of finish). Another yummy creme. Application was great. One coat was almost enough but just a little short. So I applied 2 coats for full and complete coverage.

I love Fancy Fuchsia but Royal Velvet blew my mind! By the way, in the photos of Royal Velvet what I see is a dark blue base with purple flashes..... was that supposed to happen? Well... I have a big time problem with my camera getting the right purples, blues and pinks so... maybe that was the situation?
Beautiful!! I just bought Ancient Jake and Fancy Fuchsia - but haven't tried them. Royal Velvet was of course sold out lol they all three look great on you :) Awesome Swatches!!

Royal Velvet is beautiful. That is my NOTD. I call it a multichrome. I see green, teal, blue and purple. And I agree, it is difficult to capture on photograph.

These are the very three that I wanted from the collection. I also wanted Gilded Coral but I'm not sure. Orly serisously makes the best duo-chromes. Royal Velvet and Space Cadet are my favorites from them. And Ancient Jade is STUNNING on you! :)

I have Ancient Jade - stunning, and practically a one coater, and Royal Velvet - stunning Royal Purple/Midnight Blue duochrome. Both are gorgeous and high quality.
