Annnnnnnnnnnnd another China Glaze. This time it's Peachy Keen. I literally just walked over to my nail desk and picked the bottle that was next to last week's Lemon Fizz. Go figure. But this is cute too. I'm taking advantage of all our pastels and Summery colors since Summer will be over in a few (technically... but not really. This is Miami. It's Summer year-round except for 2 weeks around January/February where it drops to the high 30s and everyone breaks out the coats. Don't laugh. Our blood is thin down here.)
Anyhow... two coats of Peachy Keen. Creamy, peachy, plain and simple.

Swatch / Review - China Glaze's Fight Like A Woman Collection
Hey Ladies!
I have something I'm excited to share with you all. We received the "Fight Like A Woman" collection. I'm sure you've already seen these but who cares. They are awesome enough to post over and over again.
All these swatches are without base coat and without topcoat.
This is 3 coats of "Empowerment." A super cute cotton candy baby pink creme. This was the most opaque of the collection. However, I did have a hard time applying this color. It was a bit thick. It may have just been my bottle but its nothing that a few drops of thinner couldn't fix. After that, application was a dream.
This is 4 coats of "Encouragement." A soft white pink with silver shimmer. This is my favorite of the collection. It is definitely sheer but I think that is what makes this color so pretty. I don't know how many coats it would need to be fully solid. I stopped applying coats when I was happy with the way it looked. Application was a dream. The shimmer in this color is what makes it the most unique. It has an intense shine in the sunlight.
This is 4 coats of "Endurance." A raspberry pink with glass flecks. This is the darkest of the collection. This color is just as sheer as Encouragement. I don't know how many coats it would take to get a solid look. Application was great with this one too.
I dont know what it is about the sheers in this collection... but I like them! The VNL doesn't really bother me. Overall, I really like this collection. Each shade has something unique about it. Plus, its for a great cause!
I hope you gals enjoy these!

Buttery Lemony Yellow...
I know you guys have all seen Lemon Fizz by China Glaze but I just figured I'd wear it and show it off yet again. It's a really great shade of buttery yellow. Not too bright or orange or green. Just buttery light yellow. Nice. Two coats.

Missing: Sidebar!
Hey Bloggers!
Has your entire sidebar ever gone missing? Well, if you look at our page you'll notice that our entire sidebar is missing! We haven't done anything lately that would make it go away. We don't know what is going on. If we log in to edit our layout, we can see all our widgets on the sidebar. But then we view the blog and nothing is there....
Can anyone offer any help?

Simply GINORMOUS....
At a dusty the other day, I stumbled upon a rack of polish for Eternal. A brand I recall my mother wearing when I was a teenager. First of all, these bottles hold a FULL OUNCE of polish. This thing is HUGE! And get this... it was a $1.49. That's the full price. No sale going on. Just $1.49. I can't imagine what the sale price would be. Seriously?
Anyway, this was a very good, two coat application of creamy goodness. This color is just numbered 27. Very nice mint. Super opaque (which I love). Then, just for a little flare, some China Glaze Snow Globe on my ring finger. *shrugs*
Happy Polishing!
And yes, I'll be going back for more...

Tag! (I was bored.... and it was fun)
I tag: whoever wants to do this... because I just did it out of sheer boredom. Not because we were tagged. I know how busy lives can get and not all of us have the time to dedicate to our blogs, much less a tag, but it kinda brings back high school memories for me. Remember? The 50-page notebook with a question on each page and each page numbered down the left side and then you'd answer each question on the same line number, throughout the whole notebook? And then your girlfriend would get a hold of the notebook and you'd sit in the back of AP Chemistry and read through the answers of the guy you thought was totally cute just to discover he's less than stellar? No? Just me?

Swatch / NOTD / Review - Ciate's Headliner
Hey Ladies!
Awesome things to share! I have been backed up because of the remodeling going on at home. Such a mess! I can't find anything. However, I have a lot of swatches to share with you. Let's go in order of arrival!
I present to you Ciate's "Headliner."
Happy Polishing!
This polish was sent to us by Ciate for review. Please read our Disclosure Policy.
This is a gorgeous blue creme with green undertones? Maybe a turquoise? Maybe a teal? I don't know. I don't care. It's gorgeous. Breathtaking. Beautiful. Amazing. Stunning. Wonderful. Ciate calls this color an aquamarine blue. That works for me. My new favorite! You are looking at 2 coats of this beauty. It could have almost been a 1-coater but I was being sloppy with my brush strokes. Application was a dream. Not too thick and not too thin. The brush was pretty wide and flat, which gives you more coverage. If you are an OPI fan, I'd say the brush is very similar. And hello... Have you seen the adorable bottle? It's up there with Nfu-Oh's bottles. The bow and the long top reminds me of a man in a tux and a top-hat. Super cute! Also, the brush/top is easy to work with since it isn't bulky or insanely heavy.
You can view Ciate products on their website here. They have an amazing selection of colors. After the exchange rate, each 13.5ml bottle is about $13.30.
This has been on my wishlist for such a long time. It kept haunting me online and I was so happy to hear Mari received 2 Ciate colors for review... And then there it was... Headliner!
Hope you gals like it! I will be back with more reviews / swatches!

NOTD: Can't Conquer This
Can't conquer this! *sings to the beat of "Can't Touch This"*
I present to you 2 coats of OPI's "Conquistadorable Color." This color is like a berry red creme. It's awesome because it isn't like your typical red (too dark or too light). And it's not a "cheap" looking red either. However, it definitely has a berry quality to it. This could have been a 1-coater but I did 2 coats just to be safe. I was painting my nails at night and I hate when it looks solid but then you step out into the sun the next morning and SURPRISE! Not solid! LOL! Better safe than sorry.
Hope you gals like it!

Hey Ladies!
Just a quick post to share with you some of my backed up mani's! This one is from July 4th... Yes, I'm that far behind!

Some time this month soon, these will be available. As a thirty-something Mom, it's hard for me to admit that I got suckered into watching Gossip Girl back in their first season by a close girlfriend of mine, Marilyn, and I've been hooked ever since. HOOKED! So... needless to say, I'm a little excited about these. Below are a few pics and color descriptions. Happy Polishing, gals!
Nicole…Spotted! - Shimmering Dark Teal
Scandals, Secrets and Sparkle - Shimmery Silver
Too Rich for You - Rick, Dark Sparkly Blue

annnnnnnnnnnd more Purple....
For whatever reason, I wanted to change my manicure yesterday and I was in the mood for glitter, once again. I seem to think that it's the quickest way to just add a little "pop" to any color you've got on. So why not purple? It's my favorite shade anyway.
This is two coats of China Glaze's Grape Pop (which we finally caved and purchased since it was haunting me everywhere) followed by one coat of Snow Globe, also by China Glaze. Inside the bottle, it actually does resemble a snow globe with glitter in pink, blue, green and gold (or is it very light orange?)... hexagon-shaped in different sizes. I prefer Snow Globe on pastels... but not bad here. See for yourselves.

KOTD: PHD's Book Cover Challenge
Hey Ladies!
This is a quick post to show my entry for Polish Hoarder Disorder's Book Cover Challenge.
Like the horrible blogger that I am, I can't remember how many coats this was since I'm backed up and this mani feels like it was such a long time ago!
This is OPI's "Dating a Royal." Is it a jelly? Is it a creme? I don't know. But it's blue and that is all that matters. This was either 2 or 3 coats. I'm almost certain it was 3. I love the tone of the color. However, I do have 1 complaint... This is the first time I can remember ever suffering from staining! I used a base coat and everything but my nails were sooooo stained when I took this color off. I wasn't a happy camper about that. But the color is worth it. LOL!
Then I stamped the full nail circles from M65 with Konad's Special Polish in white.
The Bluebook of Citations was my inspiration for this mani. I picked the circles to match the white spiral. It's funny how one of my favorite manicures was inspired by a book I despise! This book is the one we use a lot in law school to help us properly cite all the legal references in our writing. So tedious!
Anyways... Happy Polishing!

Dark Teal Leopard
Hi gals! Hope you've had a great week so far. Got passed Wednesday so just a few more to go. :)
This is two coats of China Glaze's Rodeo Fanatic stamped with China Glaze's Kaleidoscope Him Out using Konad plate M57. Eh. Not too creative for mid-week but cute nonetheless. Enjoy, gals.

Sephora by OPI: Rocker Chic
Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, Creator of OPI says "My inspiration for the shades in this fall’s Sephora by OPI Rocker Chic collection is the iconic attitude that is pure rock. Defined by music—the empowered, impassioned, and addictive sound—Rocker Chic is tough and trendy, leather and lace. These shades translate that edgy vibe into fall’s must-have “neutrals with a twist”—statement-making browns, from sienna to chocolate-cherry Do I Know You?, Dating the Drummer, Studs & Stilettos, Rock His World; unapologetic metallics and iced blues Already Famous, Club Scene Queen, Go My Own Way; upfront red Fiercely Fabulous; and mysteriously dark wine Just a Little Dangerous.”

Comparison: Purple/Green Duochrome (you'd think)
Talk about deceiving... I lie not! When you stand these bottles side-by-side, they look practically like triplets (fraternal, not identical). But alas, once on the nail? Au contraire, mon frère. Quite different, don't you agree?
I did three coats on each. The Zoya was quite nice. That's gonna be a staple for Fall. And the Nubar? Well, I've loved that one since I saw it on Miss "Must Get My Hands Insured" Michèle when she posted about it here. The Lippman? Pretty good too considering purples are my favorite and that's what this one flashes most.
Hope the comparison is useful...Happy Polishing!
