NOTD: Pink Wrapping

Hey Ladies!

So I went digging in my overstuffed "un-tried" helmer drawer and pulled this out. I got this Barielle from a blog sale. This is the first time I've ever used a Barielle polish. I still have 3 more to try out. My verdict: So far so good! This is Wrap Me In Ribbon from the Holiday Hustle collection from Winter of 2010. Wrap Me In Ribbon is a pinky mauve metallic polish. Barielle describes it as a metallic raspberry with violet and copper pearl undertones. Maybe I'm blind but I don't see the copper at all. I see it in the bottle... settled in the bottom. I tried everything I could to shake it up well but nothing worked. It's still a pretty color. The first coat started off really sheer. I didn't expect that. But the second coat somehow gave me a perfectly even and full coverage. Application can be tricky. It's metallic so you have to be careful with your brush strokes because it can be streaky. Regardless, I really like it...

Too bad I had it on for less than 24 hours. This is the color I was wearing when I got the Zoya collection in the mail and I took it off immediately so I could swatch them. LOL!

So since I don't have much experience with Barielle, what do you guys think of this brand?

Happy Polishing!

I've never tried Barielle but this color is lovely. I just got a PayPal account so I'm going to be checking out some blog sales soon. Finally! LOL.

I've never tried Barielle - there just haven't been any that catch my fancy enough to actually grab one. This color, however, is pretty!! I'm a sucker for berry-ish colors.

I have a # of Barielle polishes - just find some are hits while others are misses. I toss in some due to the great price when they have their fab 30% and 50% off sales when I order their Total Foot Care Cream, my all time use ever day Nail Strengthening Cream, and the best ever (for me) Intensive Nail Renewal Oil. I don't have this shade of polish however, feared a # of times when was going to order it, that it would just not be one I would wear much. Reminds me of what I wore in the early 90's shade wise. It's a bit dated - but since Fisk bought Barielle, they have stepped up some of the colors to be a bit more modern.
