Hey Addicts!
So I mentioned in an earlier post that I did my nieces nails yesterday (Monday). I spoke to my sister early that morning and she told me that ChiChi (my niece) had lined up her little nail polish bottles and had said that "TiTi (me) was going to pick her up from school and paint her nails." She had even decided what colors I was going to stamp with... Of course, I wasn't aware that I was going to do this yet. I love the way toddles are innocently demanding. Although I was beyond exhausted and in a desperate need of sleep, I thought that was simply adorable! So I picked her up and painted her nails. Here is what she decided on:
She wanted blue polish... But since she is only 4 I picked Essie's "Looking For Love." (2 Coats) Then I stamped stars (M3) using Sally Hansen's "Twisted Pink." Her nails are so small that I only stamped two stars from the image.
It's so cute though. She was sitting there, not moving, and continually asking: "Is it dry yet?" I love seeing how proud she is of her nails. She shows everyone! My sister told me she ran into the daycare this morning and was showing everyone and saying "Look at my nails. Look at my stars!" Ohh... To be young again. LOL!
I also forgot to mention something in my earlier post. "Jo.Frougal" from Frougal commented on my Giveaway Winner post. She recommended celebration and suggested some "retail therapy" as a reward for the crazy paper I worked on ALL weekend. And you know what... That was a great idea! It seems the nail polish Gods decided to grant my wish. I wanted to get Nfu-Oh #65 since they were all on sale. But by the time I got around to it last week #65 was Sold Out. I was so sad. So I checked it again a little while ago and it wasn't sold out anymore! I placed my order immediately! So that is my reward to myself. I can't wait to get it! Thank you Jo.Frougal!
Happy Polishing!

Thats so cute that you paint your nieces nails! I have a two-year old and whenever I do my nails, I have to do hers too. Nothing hookerish though lol
Cute, cute nails. I have a niece, too (and no daughter -- the injustice! LOL), but since she's only 21 mos. I have to wait before I can paint her nails. I have a question though -- do you get the polish off, or just wait for her nails to grow? What product do you use to remove the polish, if you do that?
Good for you that you got a lemming fulfilled and rewarded yourself for a job well done!
so cute!! love the stars! (L) great job ^^ xoxox
Jo.frougal, I use nail polish remover to remove the old polish. But I try not to use a lot. And I wash her hands immediately after using it. I would use non-acetone polish remover but I don't have anymore left. If doing her nails becomes a frequent thing, I'll go buy a bottle.
You do realize that you've created a monster... right?!? LOL!
so cute! i wish my sister was that eager to get her nails done...
FitterTwit... Yup, I created a monster. LOL!
